New Home Page

February 16 2004. New home page uploaded showing new fabric samples, (more) recent books, EQ5 library, and the new Arial Ott floor light. All fabric pages and the index page now meet html 4 Transitional standards.

New Release of Adobe Tools

November 11 2003. First updates with GoLive 7. This release, known as 'GoLive CS' is tightly integrated with other Adobe software. Bugs and defects in version 6 seem to be corrected. This release allows pages to be created more easly from paper versions designed with InDesign 3, part of the creative suite (CS).

Revamped Fabrics Pages

October 11, 2003. Redesigned fabric pages uploaded featuring over 500 of our fabrics. New fabric groupings used with a fabric index page and a navigation component on each page. Fabric colours closely matched by comparing original bolts under daylight or ott light and correcting the scans with Photoshop.

Changed Systems

Dec 29, 2001. We moved all local files and applications to a new system running Windows XP on a Pentium 4 - 1.7ghz processor. The new system runs our imaging and site design software much faster and smoother. It also seems to multi-task better than Windows 98.

Revised Site Colours

August 10, 2001. Changed the site colours to a more pleasing combination. Carol was an active participant. She was like a little kid playing with the colour chooser in Photoshop before settling down to create the background colours. I have added Bailey Beagle to show you the way home...

High Speed Access

July 20, 2001. Added a personal Sympatico high speed access line. No change to email or web addresses, but I can now upload changes and check out web sites much faster.

Old site redirect messages

June 16, 2001. Most of the pages on our old site have been replaced with a "moved" message giving our new address. A few lines of javascript automatically switch the viewer to the new index page after 5 seconds.

Software pages added

June 14, 2001. All the software is now listed on a series of pages including packages just received in June. Images and expanded information will be added once I have the Notions pages uploaded

Book pages now up

May 29, 2001. I updated my book listings and added them to the site split by topic. Images of selected book covers will be added later.

First fabric page up

May 1, 2001. We received Virginia Robertson's new fabric line and promptly uploaded our first fabric page. There are thumbnails of 29 fabrics in the line. click any picture and you will see an enlarged view.
