BLOCK FACTORY

Building on their well known Foundation Factory series of CDs, Quilt-Pro is now offering a series of block CDs. You can size the blocks as desired and print off templates or paper piecing papers depending on the block chosen. Instructions are included on the CD.

KANSAS CITY STAR. The first title released in this series has 300 designs from the famous quilt column in the Kansas City Star. The blocks are illustrated with modern fabrics. You can size a block and print off templates. Price is $34.95.

MARINER'S COMPASS QUILTS. The second title with 100 designs is by Judy Mathieson. It complements her well known book on Mariner's Compass quilts. Using tiling, you can print off templates or foundation papers larger than your printer's paper size. Price is $39.95.

1-2-3 QUILTS! Building on the block CD concept, Quilt-Pro released this beginner's design program. The program takes you literally step-by-step through the design process. Choose a block from the 500 in the library. Colour the pieces with any of the 1000 fabrics included. Choose the number of blocks, layout, sashes, and a simple border to complete your quilt. The program limits you to a single block design, or a single block alternated with a solid block of fabric. You can print the finished quilt in full colour, plus the templates and an estimate of the fabrics requirements. ON SALE $29.95.
