BLOCK BASE

This companion program to EQ5 is a data base of 4000+ blocks from Barbara Brackman's massive reference text Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Blocks. The designs can be searched using common block names, by alphabetical order, or numerically using Ms. Brackman's coding scheme. For each block there is a brief history and source of the designs.

Block Base can be used alone or in conjunction with Electric Quilt. You can print templates for any block, and when suited to the block, you can print foundation papers or strip quilting instructions. Abut 500 blocks include instructions keyed to Marti Michell's template sets. If you have Electric Quilt, you can bring blocks from Block Base into EQ5 and edit them and use them in quilt layouts. Price is $94.95.
